Since June 1812 was at emperor. After the arrival of 1-st Western army in Drissky the camp participated in a military council. Then has left with emperor for St.-Petersburg, in September has been sent to Stockholm for participation in development of the allied contract. In 1812-1813 he was general-governor of Finland. Since July 1813 he was at a staff of Northern army. Participated in battle at Leipzig. He entered into the nearest environment of Alexander I. The first has stated an idea on restoration in France Bourbons.
