The 40p stamp is interesting as it shows the smallest ship involved in the battle, HMS Entreprenante, which had only 8 guns and a crew of 40. Its main role was to carry sealed orders and provisions. However, during the Battle of Trafalgar HMS Entrepenante heroically saved 140 sailors from the French ship Achilles when she blew up.
