Zamfirescu Duiliu
(1858—1922)

Zamfirescu Duiliu is a cutimer of the realism imposed by Slavici, he creates the first cyclic novel in Romanian literature. in the novels Viata la tara (Life in the country) and Tanase Scatiu he outlines in a subjective manner the world of the village with its unjustian and conflicts between the old landowners and the rising land agents. It illustrates he disappearance of a social class, of the old landowners.
