Akmulla (Акмулла) Miftahetdin
(1831—1895)
The great democratic representative of Enlighten of the XIX century, Miftahetdin Akmulla was born in the village of Tuksanbaevo, Miyakinsk region. He studied at Yablaktamaksk, Meneztamak, Amyasovsk, later in Orenburg and Troitsk. The only book published during his live was «In honour of Shigabetdin Mardjani» (Kazan, 1892). The principes of eternal struggee og light and dark, study and illiteracy are the basis of his aethetic ideas and points of view. He was one of the first to support new tendencies in the literature of the XIX century. He rejected as well patriarch-feudal survivals, religions fanatism and scholastism. He is the first pot-satirist in Bashkir written literature.
