Birznieks-Upītis Ernests
(1871—1960)

Ernests Birznieks-Upītis was one of Latvia's foremost twentieth-century writers who wrote in the tradition of Rudolf Blaumanis. Amongst his work are the three-part autobiography Pastarina dienasgramata (1922–1924) and darbus berniem (1922–1924).
