Albert Marvin H.

Marvin H. Albert was a writer of mystery, crime and adventure novels including ones featuring Pete (Pierre-Ange [French: Stone Angel) Sawyer, a French-American private investigator living and working in France. He also wrote film novelizations (e.g., What's New, Pussy Cat?) and many other novels. He sometimes wrote under pseudonyms such as Albert Conroy, Ian McAlister, Nick Quarry and Tony Rome. Settings for his novels include France (where he lived for some time), Miami and the Old West. Marvin Albert was the author of a series of mystery novels centering on Miami private investigator Tony Rome. The books were published under the pseudonym "Anthony Rome". Two films were made from the Rome novels, both starring Frank Sinatra in the title role. The films were 1968's Tony Rome and 1969's Lady in Cement.
