Tillier Claude
(1801—1844)
Claude Tillier was a journalist, pamphleteer and novelist who lived for most of his life in Nevers, in the French province of Nivernais, where he edited a daily newspaper. His pamphlets, which were collected and posthumously published in 1846, dealt chiefly with political and religious matters. "Mon uncle Benjamin" (1843), a lightly humorous, good-natured and satirical novel, is probably his best remembered work.
