Bosquet Alain Anatole(1919—1998)

French novelist, poet, and essayist, born in Odessa, S Ukraine. He wrote poetry, Verbes et Vertiges, Demain sans moi (1993), and novels including La Confession Mexicaine (1965, prix Interallié) and Les Tigres de papier (1968). He published maxims in La fable et le fouet (1995), was a social critic in Portrait d'un milliardaire malheureux (1989), and translated Les Plus beaux poèmes du monde (1979). Other work includes an essay, La Memoire ou l'oubli and his autobiography Une Mère Russe (1978).
