The Vosges pœt and playwright, was the driving force behind this "monument". He wanted to decentralize theater and "raise consciousness". His first play, Le Diable marchand de goutte, was a resounding success. Now, every year, thousands of devotees go "up" to Bussang to enjoy the show.
