Taylor Samuel Woolley

«The Absent Minded Professor»

Acclaimed author and successful screenwriter. Samuel W. Taylor was born in Provo, Utah, and studied at Brigham Young University. After serving in World War II, he and his family lived near San Francisco until he passed away in 1997 at the age of ninety. His story was the basis for the Disney movie «The Absent Minded Professor» (1961), plus its sequel «Son of Flubber» (1963), a TV version in 1988, and an updated Disney version starring Robbin Williams, «Flubber» (1997). «The Absent Minded Professor» was the 4th-highest grossing film in the U.S. in 1961. Taylor's movies have grossed over $115 million at the U.S. box office.
