Peter Cushing (1913-1994) was a British actor perhaps best known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes for the BBC and in Hammer Film Production’s The Hound of the Baskervilles. He also played Baron Frankenstein and Dracula’s nemesis Van Helsing in several Hammer Horror Films.
